You all know what I'm talking about here. We may not all call it the same thing, but we certainly all understand the concept. You have all been on the road and see a car with his turn signal blinking, yet they don't seem to change lanes or turn. I've followed cars for miles and miles with their turn signals blinking and without a turn or a lane change. This is so lame. There is a reason we have turn signals on the car. It is to let other people know of your intent to turn or to change lanes. When they are left on constantly, it defeats the purpose and because of a few people that can't seem to turn off their turn signals, we can't trust any of the cars with their turn signals blinking. What is so hard about operating the turn signals? You turn them on when you want to turn, and when you make your turn, the signal automatically turns off. If you are changing lanes, you turn the signal on, and when you have completed your lane change, you turn off the signal. Is this too much to ask of people? Is this too hard? Perhaps, if turning off a turn signal is too difficult for you, maybe you shouldn't be operating a vehicle. They even give you a little reminder. You know that little rhythmic ticking sound that you happens when you turn on your turn signals? That is the reminded to you that your turn signals are still blinking. There's no other reason for them. They aren't just a side effect of turning the corner lights on and off. Only the people in the car hear this ticking. You might say that sometimes your music is too loud to hear the ticking. Again, maybe you shouldn't be operating a vehicle if your music is so loud that you can't hear a the ticking from your turn signals, let alone the horns of the traffic or the screams of pedestrians as you weave wildly to your music. Come on, people! Pay a little more attention on the road. Use those turn signals properly and turn them off!
