Some of you are my age and you are either out of school or just finishing up school. Others of you are in the middle of college right now, but that doesn't matter. We all have the same concern in the back of our minds. We need to pay the bills. The bills don't pay themselves and school is definitely not going to pay the bills. When looking for a job right out of school, hopefully no one is trying to overachieve and become CEO of some major corporation right away. You want to start small and work your way up. Here is my question. How the fuck are you supposed to get a job when every single job out there requires 1-2 years experience? It's not just good jobs. Entry level jobs require 1-2 years experience as well. Let's see here. You want my first job, coming out of college, but the company won't hire you because you haven't had a first job yet. That's brilliant. Who thought of this system? There are a few industries that you can intern for companies and they consider that experience, but there's a whole lot more that don't allow internships into the actual work or that don't count the interning as experience. So I ask you people, how do you get a job without a job? If you already had a job, you probably wouldn't be looking so hard for a job. Like many of you, I just want to pay my bills and get off of my parents' income, but apparently that's too hard to do in our society. With that I say, "Good luck to anyone trying to find their first job." You're going to need it...along with 1-2 years experience.
